Huat Heng Fried Prawn Mee
On a Saturday evening when Shunfu Mart Food Centre appeared dark and almost deserted, I was surprised to see a queue forming in front of Huat Heng Fried Prawn Mee. Curious to find out what is so special about this prawn mee, I decided to join the queue and try it for myself.
A plate of Heng Huat fried prawn mee which costs $3 is served with prawns, sotong and lean meat. Fried to a semi-wet consistency with a delightful wok hei aroma, the noodles are coated with tasty seafood gravy and go very well with the savory chilli paste.
Certainly one of the better fried Hokkien mee in Thomson and Bishan, Heng Huat is a definite must try if you live around there.
7/10
